The Electrical & Equipment Maintenance Technician I is responsible
for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and installing the
mechanical & electrical systems, building systems, utility
generation equipment while providing optimal support to all testing
operations. This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a
week. What you can do:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial
production and mechatronic equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures - root cause and communicate
required actions across relevant teams
- Perform major equipment repairs, rebuilds and
installations
- Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to
improve equipment reliability and maintenance protocols.
- Perform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on more than one of
the following types of equipment: Electrical systems ranging from
24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, Mechanical systems, Hydraulics,
Pneumatics / Vacuum Systems, and Vison/Inspection Equipment
(Keyence / XRAY / Surface inspectors)
- Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and
suppliers, or obtain them from storeroom
- May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned What you can contribute:
- Associate's degree or related technical degree from a 4-year
program required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a
maintenance capacity on production manufacturing equipment (an
equivalent combination of education and experience may be
considered)
- Experience using a volt / multi-meter and interpreting
schematic diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems
- Proficient with pneumatics-solenoid valves, actuator and
control operations and can read schematics.
- Proficient with basic hydraulic and vacuum system
operations.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly
drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerance
- Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and error conditions,
identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions
- Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S,
Arc Flash, etc.)
- Knowledge of safety hazards of working with electrical or
electronic components
- Excellent oral, written, and documentation skills
- Careful and meticulous attention to detail, during battery
assembly, testing, and data entry
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proficient in Office 365 Suite Physical demands and work
environment:
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasional: Bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, walking,
reaching, and overhead reaching
