The Role
The North American Inventory Fleet Operations team is responsible
for optimizing our operating fleet and inventory vehicle sales
process. The team goal is to effectively implement our allocation
and utilization strategies to provide an incredible customer
experience while minimizing operating costs.
In this role, you will manage the allocation and health of our
Sales Fleet. You will work cross-functionally across the company to
resolve blockers to vehicle activation and utilization, and
function as the primary HQ point of contact for all other customer
facing and internal teams. As a part of a collaborative team
operating in a fast paced and evolving environment, you will help
set up and implement processes to ensure optimal utilization of the
Sales Fleet and be responsible for producing high quality reporting
on a weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence.
The location of this role is flexible. The right candidate can work
from any Tesla Sales, Service or Delivery Location.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental operations across multiple stakeholders
to optimize vehicle allocations, activations, and utilization for
Tesla to operate efficiently
- Function as the primary point of contact for Sales Fleet
vehicle users (Location Managers, Sales Advisors, etc.) to
coordinate vehicle allocations and ensure appropriate
utilization
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and
insights that can be used to drive business decisions. Build tools
to educate and onboard teams on ideal Operating Fleet
processes
- Create Excel models and run ad hoc analysis as requested by
leadership and write SQL queries to extract data from various
databases and data sources
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights
effectively to stakeholders and take responsibility for improving
and maintaining vehicle data within our internal systems
- Contribute to Sales Fleet related digital developments and
collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities
for improving data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Aggregate data to generate weekly/monthly/quarterly business
reporting and provide strategic insights and conclusions based on
analysis, including concise, digestible arguments with data
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years related to allocation, retail planning or
decision-driving analytical role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to
form solid relationships cross-functionally to be able to influence
without authority as well as strong quantitative critical thinking
skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and retail math
concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the aptitude
to quickly learn new systems/technical applications. Experience
with business intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI, MySQL,
etc.) is a plus
- Enthusiasm and aptitude for working in a fast-paced,
collaborative environment with a high degree of ambiguity with the
ability to drill down and become a subject matter expert,
categorize, and simplify complex problems
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and
prioritize tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or
focus
- Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude with the
ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex
challenges

Expected Compensation
$60,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards +
benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors,
including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience. The total compensation package for this position may
also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
