RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Fremont, CA. Summary:Our client in Fremont, CA is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team for a 3 month project with high likelihood of extensions on a quarterly basis. The Core Automation Services (CAS) team is building applications to enable manufacturing, with an eye towards reliability, availability, scalability, speed and security. This is a diverse team composed of Controls Automation Engineers, Software Engineers, and various other disciplines that help facilitate automated manufacturing processes. They are looking for someone with development experience, more on the DevOps side.REQUIREMENTS:* 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer* Experience with Virtualization or Containerization* Expert skills in Linux and its administration* Understanding of networking (Routing/Switching, VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers)* Experience in a high-level language such as Go, Python and/or Java* Understand the concepts of Observability and Infrastructure as Code (Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Jaeger and/or Splunk)* CI/CD pipeline experience (preferably with GitLab)* Comfortable on an on-call rotation* Comfortable doing live troubleshooting of issues on NOC bridges/outage calls* Habitual documenter and spreader of knowledge* Willing to mentor other team members and engineers with less SWE/IT type knowledge* Strong bias for action vs endless planning, willing to get hands dirty and make mistakes sometimes* Ansible for systems automation* Artifactory for storing/retrieving assets* Bare-metal imaging experience (Foreman/Linux PXE)* Kubernetes/vSphere administration experienceKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
