Job Description
The Senior Project Coordinator will support MACD, Optical Deployment and IP Deployment activities of client's Global POP infrastructure. Also, will work in close alignment with Project Managers and Deployment Engineers to drive day to day project activities to meet overall TPM managed program timelines and priorities. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.The program is responsible for the following activities/events at POP locations:

  • Physical change of equipment location
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Physical modification, and logical upgrade/modification of equipment
  • Decommissioning and removal of equipment
  • New site buildsScope:
    • Manage the project in the internal project management tool following the agreed upon template.
    • Join all pertinent PM/DE/TPM/Partner meetings to gather info/updates to ensure the project is being tracked in project management tool.
    • Works on assignments from Service Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and Stakeholders that require considerable judgment and initiative. Makes recommendations for solutions
    • Works within guidelines and takes ownership of results. May act as a mentor to less experienced team membersResponsibilities:
      • Responsible for owning, driving, monitoring the deployment actions with the stakeholders (deployment engineers, vendors, other internal and client stakeholders) and to ensure update onto the network execution tool.
      • Collaborates with various regional teams responsible for project resources to ensure the deployment timeline is met, work with program/project manager on the resolution for blockers.
      • Project Management Tool support (uploading projects, updates, date alignment)
      • Logistics coordination support
      • Ensuring our vendor partners have necessary EDPs/MoPs
      • Effectively and accurately communicate status to the project team, and proactively driving action solutions on the foreseen delays with the stakeholders/vendors.
      • Scheduling field and/or provisioning engineers to meet deployment dates
      • Working closely with XFN partners to manage deliverables
      • Assisting in escalations for POP (Point of Presence) support and improvements. (Site access, SH, and logistics)
      • Identify project issues, determining the right team member to provide a solution, and/or escalating the issue to the program/project manager, SDM, or client manager.
      • Takes part in organizing, attending and participating in team, vendors, and stakeholder meetings.
      • Identifying possible scheduling conflicts and drive to resolution
      • Ensuring QA/QC and handover activities are completed
      • Previous experience with ticketing systems and/or project management system
      • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills and keep up-to-date with new processes and procedures.
      • Works closely with SDMs/Project Managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including assisting with identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and delivering actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.

        Location: Applicant must be in a commutable location to Fremont, CA.COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: In order to protect the health and safety of all onsite employees, proof of full vaccination is required.
        • Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 5 to 8 years' related experience and/or training;
          • Equivalent combination of education and experience
          • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting all 5 phases of project management:
            • Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure
            • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics coordination:
              • Ordering equipment, Tracking shipments, Returning equipment, Scheduling field engineers, and Working with vendors)
              • Must be experienced running multiple projects in different phases independently
              • Tableau dashboard concept - Must be able to perform the data analytics when requested and understand Business Intelligence.
              • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
              • Must have a positive "can do" attitude and strong work ethic
              • Must be extremely organized
              • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
              • Ability to work both within a team and independently
              • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
              • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
              • Ability to use good judgment, as well as problem-solving and decision making skills
              • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional decorumPhysical Demand & Work Environment:
