Advantage Resourcing is seeking a R&D Engineer for our client in Fremont, CA. We are looking for someone who possess a process improvement mentality with hands-on lab skills to join our team. The engineer will assist in bringing next generation products to market as well as supporting our current commercial offerings. Tasks will include performing verification and validation activities, report writing, reviewing and updating mechanical engineering files, and providing manufacturing support on occasion. Tasks may also include prototyping concepts, conducting proof-of-principle tests, and general support of company operations in cross-functional areas.DIRECT REPORTSNo direct reports but may lead project teams as requiredRESPONSIBILITIES--- Responsible for critical review of existing products using CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.--- Work with component suppliers to ensure that delivered parts and assemblies match design specifications and engineering files.--- Conduct tests to verify and validate designs and assist in pre-clinical testing.--- Assemble and troubleshoot prototypes, production components and testing fixtures.--- Ensure that technical data and documentation complies with internal and external requirements.--- Assist as necessary to support the quality management system and manufacturing.--- Perform other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE--- B.S. in mechanical, materials, or biomedical engineering with 5+ years of experience within a medical device company.--- Strong CAD skills, using Solidworks to manage parts and assemblies.--- Knowledge of materials, single-use medical devices, and the injection molding process with an eye toward manufacturability and COGs reduction.--- Experience interacting with suppliers and technology partners.--- Experience working with ISO requirements, GMP guidelines, FDA regulations and medical device design control.--- Able to work well in a team as well as individually.--- Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.--- Proficiency in MS Office applications.#LI-TC10About Advantage ResourcingAdvantage Resourcing is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion (including religious dress and grooming practices), sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, pregnancy, medical condition, genetic information, mental and physical disability, political affiliation, union membership, status as a parent, military or veteran status or other non-merit based factors.
