ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT COORDINATOR / JOB CAPTAIN San Jose, California JOB TITLE: Architectural Project Coordinator / Job Captain " Healthcare Design Studio OFFICE LOCATION: San Jose, CA TERM: Full-Time Permanent Hire COMPENSATION: Highly competitive compensation package plus benefits and performance bonus JOB DESCRIPTION: Prestigious National Architecture & Engineering Design firm actively seeks talented and experienced Architectural Project Coordinator / Job Captain with a passion for design to join our San Jose, CA office. Ideal Qualifications for this Architectural Project Coordinator / Job Captain include: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture or Interior Design (preferred) Minimum of 3+ years of architectural industry experience pertaining to small to large scale project types such as healthcare, education, institutional, government, or commercial projects. Healthcare OSHPD or Education DSA experience is preferred Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is preferred Strong 2D and 3D graphics skills Architectural Project Coordinator / Job Captain role and responsibilities include: - Develops concepts according to parameters defined by Project Manager or Project Architect. Produces construction documents in Revit, including plans, sections and details - Assists with quality control for the design function and integrates and coordinates all disciplines into the building project - Maintains ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact initial assignment - Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with other team members - Utilizes past knowledge and experience to enhance the quality of product, recognizes problem issues, communicates impact to team and seeks clarity when necessary - Assures execution of and assists with quality control activities for architectural elements on a project - Reviews drawings, documents and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance - Keeps lead architect or designated team leader informed of progress; recognizes problem issues and communicates impact to team, and seeks clarity when necessary - Uses past experience and project knowledge to assist the Project Manager keeping in mind schedules/budgets and provides communication as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members who are responsible for work flow/timelines, etc. - Meets project design schedule and design construction budgets - Assists with cost estimates and evaluation of bids with project manager - Assists with the preparation of analyses including alternates or substitutions to reduce costs OUR FIRM: National multidisciplinary Architecture & Engineering Design firm with over 60 years of experience providing superb modern design through collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to meeting and exceeding expectations.
