Year Up seeks an inspiring Application Development Career
Training Program Instructor who is passionate about using their
technical skills to make a significant impact on the lives of young
adults. In this role, you will be integral in delivering a rigorous
training curriculum focused on Application Development within the
context of our comprehensive one-year program. This program offers
a unique combination of academics, hands-on experience, and
real-world internships, specifically designed to bridge the gap
between educational opportunities and job readiness. Develop and
deliver engaging curriculum and instructional materials focused on
application development Assess students' progress and provide
constructive feedback to encourage and improve skills Facilitate
learning through various educational technologies and hands-on
activities Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate
educational strategies and promote students' career development
Support students in internship placements by providing guidance and
monitoring their performance Maintain records of students'
performance, attendance, and progression Strong knowledge of
application development software and frameworks Experience in
curriculum development and instructional design Ability to teach
complex subjects to audiences with diverse backgrounds Proficiency
in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
Teaching certification (preferred) Certifications in relevant
programming languages or developer tools (examples: Oracle
Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions
Developer)
