Job Description:
As a Software Engineer III at Walmart Inc., specializing in
Android development, you will join our dynamic IT team to create
and enhance mobile applications integral to our vast retail
operations. Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, you'll engage in the
development of robust mobile platforms that elevate the shopping
experience for millions of customers nationwide. Using cutting-edge
technologies, you will have the opportunity to drive innovations
that align with Walmart's mission of helping people save money and
live better. Your technical skills will contribute to the expanding
landscape of our mobile applications, and your solutions will
directly influence the functionality and user experience. Design,
develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship
new features. Implement robust security measures and data
protection protocols. Maintain and improve code quality through
writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews. Manage
application deployment and post-deployment monitoring and
maintenance. Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and propose
adaptations of latest technologies to improve existing
applications. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other necessary
Android development tools. Experience with mobile database
management and caching mechanisms. Strong understanding of Android
UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Ability to work
with remote data via REST and JSON. Experience with third-party
