As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer. By partnering with engineering and business teams you will become the technical expert our customers rely on. Through building relationships with organizations, you will deliver innovative solutions that will impact millions of users. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for: • Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamais technology to customers • Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate • Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers needs. • Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs). Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: • Have 8 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. • Have US citizenship, due to the nature of our client base • Have experience working in a customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or pose sales role • Have background and experience in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols and Cloud Computing • Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions • Demonstrate experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences • Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamais Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
