Software Engineer - Full Time - embedUR systems Inc. We have multiple opportunities for full time software engineers at our Fremont, CA and Chicago, IL locations. We are looking for passionate, motivated, highly energized full time software engineers who will be involved with all aspects of software engineering for Wireless LAN products and Networking technologies. The work involves design, development and maintenance of the embedded software that run on Wireless LAN Controllers and Enterprise, Outdoor or Residential Access Points, and Ethernet Switches.In addition, working with or on cloud based solutions is a key part of many of our projects. This is an opportunity to get exposure to world class products and technologies and see the big picture by working with leading technology and service provider companies from around the world. Role & Responsibilities: Developer in a project team responsible for developing new features for Enterprise/Residential Access Points.Design and develop software on Access points/Wireless LAN Controllers/Ethernet SwitchesAuthor functional and design specificationsLead development of subsystems. Design & Develop large portions of software independently and rapidlyStrong ability and desire to learn new toolsOpportunity to lead and drive projects and teams Minimum QualificationsExperience in C, C++ and other modern programming languages/technologiesExperience with programming on Linux is a mustExperience with Linux network drivers is desirableExperience with OpenWRT/RDK is desirableStrong Networking concepts and exposure with routing and switching devicesGood understanding of WiFi, 802.11 and WLAN protocolsStrong problem solving and software development/troubleshootingRequires MS/BS in Computer Science / Engineering with Networking focus.
