established medical center is a Level 3 trauma facility providing
comprehensive healthcare services to the Napa Valley community. The
facility offers advanced gastroenterology services with
state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team environment
focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: •
Permanent position with approximately 12 patient encounters per
shift • Requires 7-10 days of call per month • Perform upper GI
endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal,
fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices • Conduct lower GI
endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp
excision • Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
procedures • Small bowel biopsy capabilities required • ERCP
(diagnostic and therapeutic) skills preferred but not required •
Experience with sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) preferred •
Experience with insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
preferred • Board certification eligible at minimum, with
gastroenterology fellowship • Estimated credentialing timeframe is
60-90 days • Position starts ASAP with ongoing duration
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and
malpractice included.
