Nursing Assistant II - E29 ICU - 0.60 Nights E29 ICU is a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of Stanford Health Care. This unit was constructed in 1976, the design of this 25-bed unit reflects the mindset of the early days of cardiac surgery and transplantation. ICU rooms mimicked the OR in their sterile appearance and more spacious design to accommodate equipment commonly used in the unit such as IABP, ECMO, CRRT, LVAD, & Impella. Major advancements and contributions to the treatment of cardiac surgery patients have been made on this historically significant unit. Today, though it remains mainly a Cardiovascular ICU, it serves a diverse group of critically ill patients. Nursing Assistants in this unit support CVICU nurses in providing positive patient outcomes and experience. Nursing Assistants in this unit assist CVICU nurses in reducing HACs such as CLABSI, CAUTI, & HAPI and decrease ICU LOS through progressive mobility. Requirements for E29-ICU Unit (Intensive Care Unit) All qualified applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the hospital/acute care setting. Previous Critical Care experience strongly preferred. AHA BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is required for this role
