Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a PICU RN with 5 years of cardiac and straight PICU experience for night shifts in California with EPIC charting. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting - Cares for pediatric patients requiring intensive and specialized cardiac care - Uses EPIC EMR for documentation - Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts - 13-week assignment - Handles pediatric intensive care with a focus on cardiac patients - Must be able to use the EPIC charting system - Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field is preferred - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers - Assignment is subject to tenure limits for contingent workers - Documentation of active licenses and certifications is required for consideration /n /n Requirements/n - Active CA RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 5 years of cardiac experience - Minimum 5 years of direct PICU experience, not including floating - Graduate of an accredited nursing program - BLS and PALS certifications required and must be active at time of consideration - Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-654251.
