Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in
the Washington DC area, approximately 45 minutes south of DC, this
full-time School Psychologist position offers a focused role at a
high school serving students from adolescent age groups. The
assignment spans from January 5, 2026, to May 29, 2026, operating
on a contract basis for the current school year. This opportunity
requires an active Psychologist license and a valid Virginia
Department of Education certification. The successful candidate
must be proficient in conducting comprehensive psychological
evaluations and function as a key contributor to the school's
mental health support team. Collaboration with school social
workers and other multidisciplinary professionals to support
student well-being is essential. Key Responsibilities: Conduct
thorough psychological assessments to identify student needs and
inform educational planning. Participate as an active member of the
mental health support team alongside social workers and staff.
Develop intervention strategies and provide direct support services
to students. Assist in crisis intervention and contribute to
enhancing the overall mental health framework within the school.
Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant state and
school district regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Active
Psychologist licensure. Active Virginia DOE certification in school
psychology. Experience working in high school settings preferred.
Strong ability to conduct evaluations and interpret findings.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within
multidisciplinary teams. Work Details: Location: Washington DC Area
(45 minutes south of DC). School: High School (one school
assignment). Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Contract
duration: January through May of the current school year.
