This role will partner closely with our operations and site teams providing employee training, analytics, and employee relations support. Ideal candidate will have a love of data and know-how to translate data to employee programs and engagement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the partnership with the talent acquisition center, including staffing coordination and job requisition management. Propose creative ways to seek talent and partner with TA University Relations team to build local community connections.Critically review site compensation trends; support the annual performance and salary reviews as well as the variable pay programs.Ensures alignment of HR processes i.e., Human Resources Review (HRR), Performance Management and Development (PMD), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), etc. with strategic and operating goals.Counsel and/or mentor employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, and corrective actions in line with local culture and the business and legal environment.Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive One Thermo Fisher company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals.Responsible for remaining up to date on relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues. Update management on policies/processes.Responsible for gathering and presenting, with Sr. HR Manager, site analytical data. Advise on trends and propose possible actions.Build manager capability by supporting foundational and leadership development training to front-line managersHandles critical issues from HR Shared Services Center to resolve client queries and issues as appropriateMentor Operations functional leaders in organizational planning in order to strengthen overall organizational capability.Partner closely with HR colleagues to drive the HR component of the business strategy through planning, developing, and implementing HR initiatives that increase the efficiency, competence, and effectiveness of assigned client groups.Collaborates with Center of Excellence (CoE) teams to complete and implement large scale HR initiatives (i.e., roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, etc.).Ensure effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows both organically as well as through acquisition. Assist managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and support of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work. Support managers in implementing development actions including employee Individual Development Plans, department succession planning, and proactive management of retention-risk colleagues.Guide managers in career development initiatives for their teams (i.e. job architecture, mapping of roles and other job-specific 'career ladders')Experience:5+ years of related experience in related HR rolesBachelor's degree Experience working through sophisticated and sensitive employee issuesProven success managing multiple partnersExperience supporting large change initiativesExperience in a fast-paced, matrix environment preferredExcellent MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Knowledge, skills, abilities:Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and adaptable to changeMust model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior and maintain confidential informationChips in as a valued team member and colleague with leaders at all levelsDemonstrates personal awareness and desire for continual learning and personal developmentHigh degree of autonomy and strong decision-making skills.Must possess the presentation skills and integrity to project a professional image, both internally and externally.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.Disclosure of COVID-19 vaccination status requiredAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 100,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
