Job Description
The-- -Clinical Director-- -is responsible for the supervision and
clinical oversight of the programs and consulting with the Program
Director and Director of Operations to ensure appropriate
psychiatric/pharmacological interventions.-- - The Psychiatrist
completes an initial thorough evaluation within 72 hours of
admission and sees each resident weekly thereafter.-- - If
indicated, medications are prescribed, and monitored by the
Psychiatrist at least once weekly. In addition, the Psychiatrist
consults as needed with the treatment team and may attend the
weekly treatment planning meetings. Responsibilities Oversees and
ensures quality of clinical aspects of the program and takes
initiative to make improvements.Supervises all Program Directors
and Clinical Supervisor within the program and provides clinical
consultation, as needed.Conducts all 90-day, annual performance
reviews, and growth plans for Program Directors and Clinical
Supervisors within the program.Manages Program Directors--------
and Clinical Supervisors schedules to ensure appropriate clinical
presence.To provide adequate and ongoing training of Program
Directors, Clinical Supervisors and facility employees as needed,
and sufficient oversight/supervision to ensure that all services
are in keeping with the Discovery Mission Statement.Developing
appropriate and effective psychopharmacological interventions for
psychiatric disordersInterfacing with families of residents for
consent and support of psychopharmacological
interventionsEffectively identifying, conceptualizing, and
communicating criteria specific to the residential level of
treatment and formulate and effective appeal for insurance carriers
as necessaryEffectively interfacing with the treatment team,
contributing to the case conceptualization, treatment plan and
assessing the ongoing effectiveness of the interventionsMeeting
regularly in a collaborative fashion with the Program Director to
discuss individual treatment progressActing on behalf of the
treatment program when called upon; such interactions may include
insurance companies, licensing and accreditation bodiesSeeing
individual clients on a weekly basis to monitor progressDocumenting
notes in our EMR system, KipuProviding second opinion evaluations
when neededAssisting program treatment staff in treatment
planningProviding medical direction to the treatment teamAssisting
in the identification of continuing medical educational needs and
providing input to the Director of Performance Improvement for
development of appropriate in-service education and training for
the treatment teamCommunicates with referral sources and outpatient
providers as needed.Facilitates client transfers to higher level of
care, as needed.Participates in clinical outreach and facilitates
program tours as needed.Provides on-call support to facility at
least 1x per month and communicates with the On-CallDemonstrating
leadership abilities, with an ability to communicate with persons
from all educational and cultural backgroundsDemonstrating tact,
initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and
a non-judgmental attitude This is a-- -full-time-- -position that
will work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm at one of our residential

Qualifications
Familiarizes and adopts the Philosophy, Mission, Goals, and
Objectives of the Center For Discovery treatment programs.-- -Must
refrain from comments and actions that directly contradict Health
At Every Size and the Discovery All Foods Fit model.Full adherence
to the Center For Discovery policies and procedures.Full adherence
to health code policies, Joint Commission, HIPAA and licensing
regulations, including mandated trainings.Engages in ongoing
professional development, including but not limited to attending
monthly staff meetings and trainings.Communicates effectively and
professionally with all members of the Treatment Team.Has basic
knowledge and ability to support Center For Discovery Clinical
Model.Provides quality customer service in all
interactions.Completes all of the responsibilities of the Clinical
Director outlined in the Clinical Director manual.
