The Senior Director, Customer Insights & Analytics (CIA) will be
based in Fremont, CA and report to Richard Hansen, EVP, Strategy &
Analytics. This role will be responsible for centralizing and
crystalizing insights into the market and our customer. High-level
responsibilities include incorporating the voice of the customer
into our business understanding and decision-making; leading
primary and secondary research of the market and consumer; and
complementing both with deep customer analytics.--The role brings
customer insights to both strategy and day-to-day operations across
a wide swath of the organization. This individual will work closely
with the CMO to better understand the customer and bring those
insights to life within marketing. Additionally, this person will
work closely with leaders in ecommerce, stores, merchandise, and
beyond to directly influence and improve the customer
experience.Additional specific responsibilities include:--
--- Partner with a wide range of senior stakeholders to identify
areas of opportunity and then execute via research and analytics.
Business partners include executive leadership in marketing,
ecommerce, store operations, merchandise, planning & allocation,
rental and custom in addition to the Chief Customer Office
--- Crystalize voice of the customer and be the customer's
spokesperson to the organization. Synthesize primary/secondary
research, transactional NPS, business trends and customer analytics
to identify emerging trends in the market, shopping behaviors
within our customer base, and new areas of opportunity.
--- Design, coordinate, execute and synthesize all primary customer
and market research for the organization. Continually deepen our
understanding of the customer through evolving research
capabilities, and synthesize them to "connect the dots" for the
--- Center of Excellence for analytic customer insights across the
organization and the rest of the Strategy & Analytics team. Execute
periodic and ad hoc analyses of and insights into customer trends,
behaviors, preferences, etc based on a full range of customer and
transactional data. Sample projects include insights into ecommerce
shopping behavior, omnichannel migration, wedding and prom customer
journeys, and workplace casualization.
--- Support the annual strategy process, quarterly/monthly market
and competitor readouts, and ad hoc insights for the management
team and board of directors by identifying and synthesizing
industry trends and implications for the business.
--- Responsible for primary and secondary customer and market
research, own the vendor relationship for supporting tools and
platforms (eg, NPD and Qualtrics) and advise and consult with
ancillary partners. Evaluate opportunities to streamline and
enhance research capabilities over time.
--- Translate results and findings into actionable and easy to
consume insights for both executives and business partners.
The successful candidate will be a vocal and visible advocate for
identifying and sharing insights into the customer throughout the
organization. Must be able to work creatively and collaboratively
