Job Description:

Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Fremont Federal Credit Union (approximately $285 million in asset size)is seeking its next Chief Financial Officer. Serving as one of the top executives in the organization, the CFO will lead the Accounting and Finance functions. Requirements ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead staff in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, investments, asset liability management and compliance. The CFO will create financial forecasting models, evaluate and improve on processes and procedures within the department, and be an active participant in representing the credit union in the community. The CFO serves on FFCU's Asset and Liability Committee. The ideal candidate will have five plus years of senior experience within the accounting and financial operations of a financial institution, have demonstrated the ability to improve fiscal processes, and possess strong analytical skills.

Demonstrates excellent judgement while under pressure and is truly understanding of the need to make timely and quality decisions.
TEAM BUILDING: Develops staff and others through mentoring and coaching. Encourages cooperation, is approachable and builds relationships that support cross-functional team building. Sets a strategy that gives all departments clear goals and an understanding of how to work together to achieve them.
MEMBER FOCUS: Inspires appreciation of the member and sets a high standard for product quality, product delivery and member service. Ensures that strong continuous relationships are formed with members. Manages a process for member communication and uses their feedback to improve.
MISCELLANEOUS: Performs all other related duties as assigned.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
QUALIFICATIONS:
--- CPA designation.
--- Five (5) plus years' experience in Accounting or Finance field; preferably financial industry.
--- LEADERSHIP: Must possess strong leadership and management skills that facilitate excellence, teamwork and collaboration.
--- INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of financial services, investments, asset and liability management, budget development, financial statements and HR related regulations required.
--- COMMUNICATION: Must demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills.
--- SOFTWARE: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.

--- 85% of time is spend sitting, however, filing, copying and operating office equipment is required. Standing, bending, lifting, stooping, stair climbing, and finger/hand usage is also required.
--- Must have a valid driver's license and have operable transportation for business travel and commuting between all credit union office locations.
--- Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, and annual planning sessions held at off-site locations.
--- Job requirements will dictate time schedules where extra man hours may be required to complete or meet deadlines.
