Position Description: Senior Service Solutions Engineer (Semiconductor/Automation/Robotics) Company is looking for a Senior Service Solutions Engineer to be a technical expert who promptly resolves a wide spectrum of field and production challenges on Company products, such as systems and robotics. The Senior Service Solutions Engineer is viewed by customers as an expert on automation and collaborates closely with the product Business Unit, regional service teams, and customers to resolve complex field issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodologies, incorporating Best Known Methods (BKMs) and optimizing tool performance. Working within the Field Service organization, this role will proliferate troubleshooting, procedures, and best practices knowledge throughout the field organization. Key Responsibilities: --- Ensure that installed tools run at peak performance by utilizing equipment/tools to replicate and resolve field problems and establish best practices for troubleshooting and resolving field issues. --- Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement activities and field issue resolution using project management skills including project tracking, deliverables management, action item tracking, meeting minutes, team communications, and presentations. --- Work with Technical Publications group to develop Best Known Methods (BKMs), troubleshooting guides, policies and procedures, in partnership with service and product Business Unit, which are incorporated into the global service training curriculum. --- Works with Company--- training group and product Business Unit to develop and deliver product training classes and customer demonstrations. --- Analyzes tool performance data to identify opportunities for more service and tool business potential including performance improvement upgrades for product Business Unit review and development. Requirements: --- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading semiconductor manufacturing organization or semiconductor manufacturing equipment provider in the areas of customer escalations, problem resolution / case management, and decision making. --- Experience in electro-mechanical / electronics problem solving, critical thinking skills, troubleshooting methodologies, problem resolution quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Relevant Military technical experience / training a plus. --- Proficiency with PCs, Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations. --- Experience communicating clearly and promptly with customers, sales account managers, field service engineers, business unit and management functions. --- Experience in the operation and installation of Company Automation products is a plus Position Details: Locations: Fremont, CA or Chelmsford, MA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs a week, and availability for emergency work calls. Hybrid office and remote Salary: $142K Travel: 20% travel (domestic and international) Keys to a Successful Interview: Company is looking for a senior-level analytical field service engineer that can think on their feet. Candidates should have the technical experience that will be able to not only support FSEs but also sit on design boards and assist with the development of new products. Additionally, they should have the knowledge and experience to develop training courses. Candidates will be interviewing with the individual they will be replacing and is looking for someone with a wide range of skills.
