Responsibilities:As a Senior EDS Engineer at Solo AVT, you will be
responsible for developing the wire harness electrical distribution
systems that supply power and communication throughout the Solo
SD1. The harness is in many ways the central nervous system of the
vehicle. You will accomplish this by establishing the system
architecture, managing Device Transmittals, developing schematics,
determining harness routing, and releasing harness drawings for
prototype and production. During prototype projects, you may also
lead efforts to build prototype harnesses in-house. You will be
familiar with CAN, LIN, and other communication protocols. As the
team grows, you may be designated as a subject matter expert and
will be asked to provide guidance to junior team members. The ideal
candidate works well within a diverse team while also being able to
operate independently and deliver projects on time and to
specification. This candidate is able to solve complex problems by
working up from the engineering fundamentals to develop the best
solution, regardless of what others are doing or have done. We

need to be able to effectively communicate with our co-workers and
partners in both technical and non-technical capacities.Job
Requirements - Essential Skills:
- Work cross-functionally to develop system requirements and
architecture for both the LV and HV systems
- Familiarity with and expertise in managing Device Transmittals
(DTs)
- Understanding of bundle sizing and the impacts that has on
optimized routing
- 3D modeling expertise, ideally in Catia V5/V6
- Strong background in harness diagrams and 2D drawing
development
- Work closely with reliability and test teams to ensure product
performance
- Ability to diagnose and correct EDS issues on vehicle
- Strong documentation skills are required
- Familiarity with harness supply base

architectures
- High volume manufacturing experience
- High Voltage (HV) experience on Electric Vehicles (EV)
- Familiarity with advanced communication cabling, including RF
and fiber optics
- Willing to work flexible hours and passionate about getting
jobs doneQualifications:
- BS/MS degree in ME/EE/CS or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional work experience as an Engineer
- 3+ years of professional experience as an EDS or Harness
Engineer in a relevant field such as automotive, aerospace,
