About the position:As a Waveform Research Engineer, you will join our research center to design epaper products for specific applications in a cross-function setting. The role offers opportunities for close collaboration within and across R&D teams utilizing knowledge and innovations in display front panel, electro-optical material design, driving scheme, display algorithm, color science, solid state physics, backplane design, image processing and physical/electrical modeling. The Engineer will work with multi-disciplined scientists/engineers internationally to plan various types of experiments for optimizing overall display performances on module devices through analysis of the display's electro-optical behaviors. The job function requires close collaboration across different technical disciplines, and creativity when working independently. Responsibilities:

  • Identify the critical to function parameters that contribute to specific display performance on TFT module devices
  • Design driving waveforms for the electrophoretic display
  • Investigate root cause analysis on TFT modules
  • Design and execute electro-optical experiments
  • Perform statistical analysis and build mathematical models to understand electro-optical phenomena Qualifications:
    • PhD/MS/BS in Engineering / Computer, Physics, or related field
    • Excellent Root Cause Analysis skills
    • Proficiency with LabVIEW is a plus
    • Experience with electronic devices and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators
    • High energy and a self-driven attitude, initiative, hand-on, and a passion to understand how things work and how to make them better
