Execute projects for product development/improvement, product quality, and customer support. Conduct failure analysis, process development, application flows, particle contamination, material issues, system interconnects, software and controls, and customer points-of-view. Coordinate design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing to solve product issues and production problems. Ensure suppliers' quality performance for consistent and reliable products. Conduct design reviews with cross-functional teams (CFT) and stakeholders to establish requirements and assure proper resourcing for tool installs, upgrades. Generate and release installation and maintenance procedures for new and existing hardware. Contribute to design reviews to resolve hardware escalations. Other Job Responsibilities

  • GPS engineer who will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems
  • Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
  • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering
  • May be involved in customer installation and training
  • Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature
  • Lam Deposition, PECVD, Direct Metals,--Gapfill equipment experience is preferred
  • Travel up to 25-50%-- Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of related experience in product or systems engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field. Of the required experience, minimum of 2 years of experience in the following: electro-mechanical system design and manufacturing; systems engineering and integration; statistical methods for modeling, multivariate data sets; statistical process control (SPC); Design of Experiments (DOE); vacuum systems; and/or semiconductors.
