Job Description PAYROLL - HUMAN RESOURCES ACCOUNTANT Full-time,
Non-Exempt, Hourly Fremont, California Overview: The Payroll -
Human Resources Accountant under the general direction of the
Controller, is responsible for processing salary and benefit
payments to employees, as well as other human resources tasks for
the Company. These tasks include payroll allocation and billing,
maintaining employee records, tracking employee performance
reviews, payroll schedules, workers compensation, compliance with
state filing and federal payroll requirements and confidential
information requirements, as well as working with Company CFO and
Company benefit programs providers. The position includes other
administrative and organizational activities, such as general
filing, answering phones, and office assistance. The position
prefers a broad background in property management accounting,
enabling the successful candidate to address different tasks/issues
as they arise. Periodic assignments will include other projects as
may be assigned by senior management. Traits: Has a big-picture

Functions and Responsibilities: As defined under the Americans with

knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list is

knowledge of Payroll processes and HR compliances. -- Solid
knowledge of intermediate accounting. -- Solid knowledge of
accounts payable; billing; budgets; deposits, taxes. -- Have an eye
for detail and accuracy. -- Good computer skills: MS Word, Excel,
Quick Books. -- Mastery over numbers and being quick with numerical
calculations. -- Knowledge of salaries, wages, and bonuses of
different categories for employees of the organization. -- Have a
high level of integrity, as they will know about the earnings of
many employees; confidentiality. -- Ability to communicate
effectively with both Company personnel and outside contacts. --
Ability to work under pressure. -- Highly organized and
thoroughness in the completion of tasks and meeting deadlines. --
Ability to prioritize and efficient handling of multi-project and
multi-task -- Assist management with special projects and other
tasks as assigned. -- Follow ---Best Practices--- accounting policy
and procedures guidance and direction. Coordinate requests on an
---as needed--- basis. Any other responsibilities that may be
assigned from time to time. Working Conditions: Primarily in a
casual office environment. Periodic weekend or evening work is
expected during seasonal high-demand periods, i.e., tax season.
Education/Skill Requirement: History of working as a team member in
preparing timely payroll and HR reports. Ability to work
independently with minimal oversight. Exhibit a high level of
commitment to service. Possess an understanding of accounting
methods and financial terms and principles. Demonstrate ability to
work well under pressure with a proactive approach. Display good
organizational skills, attention to detail, and openness to new
ideas and procedures. Working knowledge of CAM/COP, QuickBooks, and
Real Page software is a plus. 3 years--- experience, Bachelor---s
degree in Accounting/Finance a plus. 2 years experience in
accounting function using QuickBooks accounting application. Prior
payroll / HR experience preferred. Compensation : Salary, exempt,
