Job Description Bethesda is a Christian Retirement Home in
Hayward, CA established to show the love of Christ by serving the
elderly with quality and compassionate care that nurtures
spiritual, physical, and emotional needs with dignity and respect.
We are seeking a qualified Office Manager with bookkeeping skills.
Compensation for this position is based upon experience
Responsibilities for Office Manager --- Oversee and support all
administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is
operating smoothly --- Manage office supplies inventory and place
orders as necessary --- Perform receptionist duties: greet
visitors, answer and direct phone calls --- Receive and sort
incoming mail, manage outgoing mail --- Manage communications to
residents and their designated contacts; maintain contact database
--- Manage office budget --- Provide other administrative support
as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining
calendars, doing research and creating reports --- Maintain and
manage office records and filing Responsibilities for Bookkeeper
--- Perform all payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner
including submission of payroll taxes --- Conduct reconciliation of
all accounts on an as-needed basis --- Maintain and balance the
general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner ---
Perform all activities related to accounts payable including
entering bills, writing checks, reviewing invoices for accuracy,
interfacing with vendors, and reporting to supervisors --- Perform
all activities related to accounts receivable including managing
payments utilizing company software, making deposits, interfacing
with residents and their designated contacts --- Medical billing
including assisting with Medicare and Medi-Cal eligibility and
enrollment, billing with company software, reconciling payments,
assisting with enrollment --- Prepare financial reports through
collection, analysis and summarizing of data --- Interpret and
apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in
order to ensure compliance with applicable standards --- Completion
and submission of annual tax reports Qualifications --- Bachelor's
degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred --- 3-5
years relevant experience, working in accounting and bookkeeping
preferred --- Experience with accounts payable, accounts
receivable, payroll, and general ledger --- High degree of accuracy
and exceptional attention to detail --- Strong organizational and
time management skills with the ability to prioritize --- Must be a
self-starter and driven --- Must be honest, respectful,
professional, conscientious and considerate of others --- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills --- Strong problem-solving
skills and analytical abilities --- Must be proficient with
Microsoft Office and Google products --- Familiarity with
MatrixCare software (including Enterprise Financial) preferred
