Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Facebook is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to provide strategic guidance and solutioning in support of its Infrastructure Accounting operations. This team is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of Facebook's capital expenditures, including its investments in data centers, servers, network equipment and office facilities. The current accounting team is primarily organized to mirror the business it supports (such as the data center construction accounting team, server purchases and management accounting team). This newly created role within the Infrastructure Accounting leadership team, will work across all the business accounting teams and will help shape our future operations and processes. This leader will work and collaborate with multiple Accounting, Finance and Enterprise Engineering leaders/partners to scale our operations and keep pace with Facebook's growth in capital expenditures. This position will report to the Infrastructure Controller.
    • Drive the Infrastructure Accounting team's financial reporting agenda, including compliance with SEC disclosure requirements and internal management reporting
    • Provide leadership to the team's systems transformation and data analytics team
    • Evaluate our current processes and controls across the multiple business accounting teams and identify common processes and synergies
    • Manage our portfolio of projects, evaluate priorities as well as allocate resources
    • Create and maintain a risk assessment of our system landscape including SOX control interaction, system roadmap changes that would impact our processes, and creating mitigation plans where needed
    • Partner with Internal Audit to document and maintain the control structure over our internal control environment
    • Manage our relationships with our business process outsource service providers and identify additional opportunities Lead ad hoc special projects 15+ years of experience scaling large organizations or combination of audit/consulting experience, systems/internal controls combined with accounting experience
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting
      • Experience leading transformation initiatives, process improvements and automation projects Experience with internal control frameworks and SOX compliance CPA or equivalent
        • General understanding of accounting system, operations knowledge and data analytics
